Edward L. Ostrowski of counsel

Ed Ostrowski provides legal counsel to public boards of education regarding a wide range of employment, student, board, contractual and statutory matters.

Ed graduated from The Ohio State University in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in Labor and Human Resources and received a master’s in Labor and Human Resources in 1983. He received his juris doctorate from Capital University in 1995.

He served as the Labor Relations Coordinator for the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities for seven years, handling arbitration advocacy, grievance responses, collective bargaining, civil service compliance, policy development, management training and union relations.

Ed continued to represent ODMRDD in at least 30 labor arbitrations in several matters involving employee discipline, and he was Chief of Labor Relations for the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation for three years.

He also worked as a solo arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau’s consumer dispute resolution procedure from 1985 to 1995. He was an associate counsel at Scott, Scriven & Wahoff LLP from 1997 to 2006.

Ed currently represents employers, school districts and license holders in administrative investigations, appeals evidentiary and non-evidentiary proceedings.
