Stuart A. Strasfeld joined the firm in 1977 after graduating from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team and mentored first year law students in research and writing. His undergraduate studies were completed at Miami University, where he met his wife, Jan, currently serving as Executive Director of the Youngstown Foundation.
Stuart's professional time is primarily spent handling general business matters including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and succession planning. He currently serves as the Secretary of McDonald Steel Corporation and Torent, Inc. and is a Member of the Board of Directors of Valley Electrical Consolidated, Inc., D&D Sweeney Auto Group, Inc., Home Care Network, Inc., Warren Fabricating Corp. and Panelmatic, Inc. In addition to his business practice, Stuart represents contractors in all of the construction trades, and developers, and handles business and construction litigation and arbitration.
When not working, Stuart enjoys tennis and skiing and traveling to visit his and Jan's three children, David, Cindy and Liz.
Giving back to the community has always been an important part of the Strasfeld home. Stuart has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Forum Health, and its Executive Committee, President of Congregation Rodef Sholom and as a CASA volunteer.
